Danilo is a writer-director from Uberlândia, Brazil. He started making films at the age of 9, using his mother's cameras, a Sony Hi8 8mm CCD-TR416. After he graduated from high school, he enrolled at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where he was pursing a degree in International Political Economy and a diplomat career.

After a year, he left UFRJ to follow his dream: making movies. He applied and was accepted to 7 schools in the US and eventually decided to attend Middlebury College, a liberal arts institution in Middlebury, VT. In order to finance his education, he started a crowdfunding campaign, which received national attention and raised 20,000 BRL.

In 2018, his short film LILY was acquired by Vermont PBS for broadcast. In 2019, he moved back to Brazil, where he continues creating and striving for great visual storytelling.
